2018 Summer Education Intern
DESCRIPTION: Position will offer opportunities in environmental education, including planning, assisting with, and implementing environmental education programs and activities for summer camps, libraries, public programs, and at a county fair booth. Position will also include assisting with maintenance, resource management, trail counts and administrative work as assigned. Position begins May and ends August with 40 hours/week (non-routine week including some weekends, evenings, and holidays).
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be enrolled in or have a degree in one of the following fields: education, ecology, environmental studies, recreation, park management, biology, forestry, or other natural sciences. Must be 18 years old, have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, possess a valid Iowa driver’s license, and maintain an acceptable driving record. Certification in First Aid and CPR desired but not required. Applicant will undergo a background check.
SALARY: $9.00-9.50/hr., depending on qualifications. No benefits.
